Our Mission
The Elk Grove Pickleball Club’s mission is to grow the sport of Pickleball for all ages, levels, and abilities by creating and cultivating a structured environment that promotes health, social interaction, good sportsmanship, and fun. Our goal is to create a structured voice for the pickleball community in assisting with more pickleball courts, player development, and social activities.
Board of Directors
Randy Seevers
Co-Chair
I am the co-founder and Executive Director of the Elk Grove-based Runnin’ for Rhett Non-Profit. Pickleball was introduced to our non-profit in 2016. Members from our non-profit were immediately drawn to the sport for the workout but also enjoyed the camaraderie and social side of the sport. It became apparent that the Elk Grove community needed a voice with Elk Grove city and park districts. I look forward to utilizing this club’s voice to help grow the sport of Pickleball in the Elk Grove community.
Tami Dokter
CO-CHAIR
I have primarily lived my entire life in the South Sac/Elk Grove area, growing up with 3 older brothers. I currently work as a Financial Data and Operations Analyst for EGUSD. I have 2 grown children and my husband is happily retired from the grocery industry. When pickleball was introduced to me, I was reluctant to try it. After finally giving in, I was hooked. I find the pickleball community is so welcoming and I have also enjoyed introducing pickleball to others. If you don’t find me on the pickleball courts, I’ve probably stopped to pet a dog.
David Rendahl
Vice-Chair
A native California, I have lived in Elk Grove since 1992. After a career in graphic design for various corporate communications departments, I am now partially retired and work for myself running a small online business. I love the mountains and serve on the Board of Olympic Village Inn in Lake Tahoe. I first played pickleball (reluctantly) in 2020 and, like everyone else, was instantly hooked…by the game, and also by the diverse group of terrific people playing. It is an honor to be part of growing this sport and community in Elk Grove.

Hi, I’m Jordan and I’m the designer of this website! I graduated from UC Irvine with a Business Information Management degree and now work as a UX Designer for the Franchise Tax Board. My mom showed me pickleball in September 2022 and I became obsessed instantly because I love ping-pong. I recently realized that although I’ve had many hobbies such as kung-fu, boxing, piano, and video games, I somehow find myself playing more pickleball than all of those things! I’m always at Oasis Park, so feel free to challenge me if you feel like having a good time!
Burga Pucci
Chief Financial officer
Born and raised in Germany, I lived in Elk Grove for the past 26+ years. I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in accountancy from California State University, Sacramento. I am a CPA with 20+ years of diverse tax, financial, and business consulting experience. I absolutely love playing pickleball, for the game itself, the comradery, and the ease of staying physically fit. I look forward to having the opportunity to represent our pickleball community. Hope to see you all on the court soon!
Letty Assad
SECRETARY
I have lived in Elk Grove since 1993. My husband and I raised our two daughters here. I have enjoyed having served in all of our daughter’s schools of attendance. I served on various capacities from Crabfeed Committee member to Booster Vice-President. I retired in 2016 from state service from 35 years in software development and application systems support. I loved my job but I love retirement more. I was introduced to pickleball about a year ago and began playing more in May 2022. I love pickleball and will play when any opportunity arises.

Committees and Volunteer Opportunities
Join the EGPC community and make a difference without long-term commitments. With more hands on deck, each volunteer’s workload lightens.
OPEN PLAY SESSIONS: Become a Meetup host for member-exclusive game sessions. Organize regular gatherings to foster connections among like-skilled players. A week’s notice is preferred, with a consistent schedule if possible.
COACHES AND TRAINERS: Help skill development by coaching fellow members. Share your expertise—3.5 or 4.0 players can guide 3.0 players. Commitment: 1-hour weekly or bi-weekly skill sessions.
COACHES AND TRAINERS COMMITTEE: Coordinate paid and unpaid coaches/trainers. Manage Meetup posts, arrange session details, and ensure smooth communication.
MINI-TOURNAMENTS COMMITTEE: Drive skill growth and camaraderie through club mini-tournaments. Plan and manage events for an exciting experience.
SOCIAL EVENTS COMMITTEE: Elevate club events like parties at CRC and Oasis. Help organize and support these enjoyable gatherings.
LEAGUE COMMITTEE: Assist in planning upcoming Pickleball leagues to enrich the club’s offerings.
BATTLE OF THE CLUBS COMMITTEE: Collaborate with local clubs to organize engaging mini-tournaments.
VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE CHAIR: Lead coordination between committees, maintain volunteer contacts, and ensure event support.
MEMBERSHIP MONITOR: Help manage new member sign-ups on Meetup. This would only require a few minutes each time a new member is added, to check our membership list and then approve them to be part of the club Meetup.
